State Procurement 101

10 a.m. - 12 noon

New to state contracting? Start at the beginning. This class is for small businesses that have little or no knowledge of the state procurement process. We'll focus on common procurement terminology, examine how the state contracting arena operates, and provide resources to help you determine if pursuing work in the public sector would be beneficial to your company. Please bring pen and paper to take notes.

Who should attend? Small business owners who want to assess the state contracting arena and gain a better understanding of the procurement process.

Contract Cost & Price Analysis

2 - 4 p.m.

Gain a better understanding of the different types of contracts common to the government arena, such as IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity), cost reimbursement, and fixed price. This class will also cover the principles and guidelines of government contract audits and cost accounting principles as applied to daily operations.

Our special guest is Arthenia LeFlore of the Maryland Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC)

Who should attend? Small business owners who want to enhance their understanding of the most frequently used government contracting vehicles.
